Sixty years ago this very day, thousands of our troops as old as
you and I stormed Nazi beaches to ensure a safe lifestyle for future generations, more specifically us. Thousands of college students in
their late teens to mid-twenties put their lives on the line for our country, with many of them losing their lives so that we could live
safely. D-Day was one of the most important days of World War II, as it stands as a major turning point in the war that helped squelch the
Nazi regime that had overtaken Europe. Thousands of Americans died during the invasion, some by men who had volunteered for the job and some
who did not have any other choice. As you look back at this historic event, think about those you know who took part in some part of these
enormous events or who are serving somewhere around the world today in our Military. Don't just think about them but get off your ass and
tell them, "Thank You." Whether it's picking up your phone and calling your grandpa or writing a letter to your boyfriend or girlfriend who
is serving in Iraq, it will mean the world to them.
Tell them thank you for putting themselves on the line, for you. Our troops over in the Middle East right now need your support, whether you
know any or not. If we did not have American men and women physically volunteering to serve, then we would have to draft people. Our troops
are making the ultimate sacrifice so you, yes you, can live the easy, suburban lifestyle without any worries or fear of death. I am one of
them, and I ask that you support our troops as much as you can, even if you do not support our current administration and their decisions.
If you see a soldier on the street, on campus, or see a veteran, tell them how much you appreciate what they are doing or have done. It may
not seem like much to you, but to them it is monumental. To anyone and everyone who has served, we say Thank You from the bottom of our
hearts; you will never be forgotten.
While most of us take a serious look back at D-Day, some of us tend to celebrate it in an entirely different way. For example, J-Lo
celebrated D-Day by getting married to Marc Anthony. That marriage will last about as long as choclate cake does on a fat kid's plate. I'm
starting to think she just likes collecting huge-ass fucking diamonds, but then again, who doesn't? In other news a study was done by CNN
Money that "porn" is 3X more popular than any other online search; if that is surprising to you than you must be new to the Internet. Harry
Potter 3 is topping the Box Office since it's Midnight release this past Friday, to no one's surprise. I don't know, maybe it's just me but
those movies really don't do it for me. Not really into 14 year old boys too, especially the ones with magical powers.
Lately we've been working 'round the clock to bring you more content, and it's starting to show. The Movie Reviews are back online with the
latest review of The Day After Tomorrow, which is still in theatres. Music reviews are back online with the latest review of Hoobastank's latest album, The Reason. Video game, book, and DVD reviews will be out shortly as well along with a couple new columns from our newest staff writers! Also be sure to register in our forums, new threads are being
