7M Pictures, based in Columbus, Ohio, was founded on January 15, 2001, and incorporated on March 2, 2001. The company was created by seven professionals with practical entertainment experience who shared a common desire – to create superior entertainment content with commercial value at reduced cost.

The officers of 7M Pictures have backgrounds in writing, directing, acting, editing and motion picture production. Some of the officers of 7M Pictures have been involved in critical and audience favorites – most recently in the 2002 Sundance official selection, Blue Car.

7M Pictures seeks to make Columbus, Ohio the "Hollywood of the Midwest." By sidestepping the skyrocketing costs of California-based businesses, 7M Pictures will capitalize on Ohio's low cost of living and steady economy to produce economical and profitable motion pictures and television programs that can compete head-to-head with the offerings from major studios.

With the advent and convergence of digital video and the Internet, the opportunities for independent production companies have exploded. 7M Pictures will take advantage of these new technologies and combine them with traditional production value to establish a known presence in the television, film and Internet markets.
